Are you watering from the bottom or watering on the leaves? They look sunburnt.

Does the water stay on the leaves until the growlight/sun is back on them?

Well, my money is on the sun scorch...unless very warm in the house the water will take a long time to dry up. Although you could also have the grow light to close?

I just went and felt the leaves and the yellow ones do feel quite dry and brittle where the others are nice and waxy feeling I will change my watering back to underneath do you think the young plants will recover and be ok and a side note when should I plant them out in south wales only ever bought from g center before so this is new to me

They will recover no problem. I've never grown pansies from seed but my thoughts would be start hardening them off now for planting out in their final positions before the ground gets too cold.

Another Welsh one? Where abouts in Wales, if you put your location in your profiles it will stop everyone asking where about you are. I'm originally from South Wales...escaped, just over the bridge
