As one who is on another planet most of the time anyway, this book would be an ideal christmas present for me!:

              • Back to moon gardening....

Today i recieved a leaflet from the Organic Gardening Catalogue and there is a new product available its a wall chart and booklet called In Tune with the Moon.

It says "Calendar guide to lunar gardening for 2007. " its item code BKLo. price £10.95

I'm interested at looking at it, but its a bit pricy perhaps.

You can get a calendar of when to sow, plant & harvest from Nic's site for nowt!
I agree, it seems a bit pricey

                  • That does seem pricey seasprout. Gwydions book is about £5 and is reusable and the Kollstrom book is only £7.95 (ish). I have previously pencilled in the Gwydion book and bought a moon phase calender to update annually. (Well for the last two years since we had the lottie). Or was that the other way around.

                    • I've been aware of this for a number of years, but never really got into (wasnt' really growing much until this year).
Tried to interest Mr MB but he was playing dwarf this year, not Gnome and wouldn't listen.
Sounds from the experiments as if it really might work, so will make an effort to try next year (if he lets me near the lottie again)
Will definitely buy Old Moore this Christmas, even if we can't afford the RJ Harries book. Have got this site bookmarked, which is a bit flowery powery, but contains the information I needed

                      • I have to admit to being sceptical at first, but Jax's experiment seemed to work so who knows. Maybe the Druids had something after all

                        • I've left enough hints, so hopefully one of my family members will take one of them and get me 'Moon Gardening' for christmas! I should then be able to make my own mind up whether it is right for me or not?

                          • I shall try and KISS (keep it simple) it and remember waxing = water up and waning = water down. It might be a start.
