    these little half-bean shaped things I was going on about before. they are circled/pointed at with red circles/arrows lol.

    They are the seed leaves I think....

    Nothing to worry about if that's what they are!

      They are the remnants of the bean that you planted, Salina - nothing to worry about, they'll shrivel and drop off in time!

      Nice plants, btw!

        thanks, I was wondering what they where, they keep growing and then dropping off again lol.
        That plant is doing alright at the moment but loads of my other bean plants stalks have been snapped by the wind *sigh*

          They look like borlotti beans to me - well, if not, something very similar to the ones I'm growing for the first time this year as well. Bernie

              Cotyledons indeed Snadger. French beans have theirs above the ground where as runner stay in the soil when they germinate
