Nettle fertilizer - do I have it right?

I have been out today and gathered myself a bucketfull of nettles from the local park (next week: wearing purple and picking flowers from other people's gardens ). I've filled up the bucket with water and covered it. Do I need to do anything else? How long should I wait before using it? Is there anything I *shouldn't* use it for? Sorry for yet more numpty questions!

When i asked about this concoction i was told that nettle tea is high in Nitrogen and if you have not made Comfrey tea before they smell the same and you do not need to do any thing for two weeks at least except move as far away from your house as posible it pongs jacob
