Photo ID please.... Thought it was grass so pulled it up

I thought this was grass so pulled it up from the veg patch. Had a non grass root so stopped before pulling up the other two. Can anyone please advise what this is and whether I should leave the other two? Tia GF.

Yes, couch grass would be my guess too - dig it out along with all its roots

Couch grass seconded. That fat white root is very brittle and if it breaks will grow into a new plant. Get as much of it out as you can, it's a proper pain.

There are a few types of grass - this one is the sort I would burn or drown rather than adding to the compost heap.

Picture two does look remarkably like wheat but the first one - couch.
