vegtrug - what to grow please?

Hi, I have just bought a 1.8m Vegtrug (manger trough with a choice of 3 covers) and wonder if anyone could advise me on what veg to grow in it please?

I very much want to include a dwarf variety of peas but do have problems with mice in the garden as I live next to farm outbuildings.

Peas can be planted with carrots,cucumber,radish,parsley,spinach,strawberry,sweet peppers & tomatoes in a trug

If you stand the feet on half bricks in troughs of water then things like slugs and mice will not be a problem although rats will splash through if tempted and squirrels could just Tarzan in. Your covers should help if you seal them to the trug carefully.

I had not thought of strawberries!

The tip on keeping mice etc out is very useful.
