What is this?

We think this is either a melon or pumpkin but have no idea to be honest.
This is our first season growing anything, so at a complete loss!

It doesn't look like a melon or a pumpkin to me.

A couple or three questions first:-
Did you grow this yourself from seed or is it a bought plant?
How tall is it? Could we have a photo of the entire plant, in its pot please.
How old is it?
Where do you live - in the UK or not?

Hey and thank you

It has been grown from seed, is about 4 months old, about 45cm and we are in the UK.

I'm not at the house the plant resides at at the moment, will be later though and can get a picture of the whole thing then

My stepmum was fairly certain earlier it was a melon or pumpkin plant and did get a picture up via google that looks similar-ish - will question her later as well to see why she thinks that is what it is or if there are any other possibilities.

Pumpkins and melons have hairy leaves. Melons are quite soft. Looks more like passionflower but isn't quite right for that either.

My first thought was some sort of passiflora or even a clematis.
The leaves look too "shiny" for a pumpkin/melon.
