seed potatoes

Hello everyone.
May be a silly question, but where do people buy seed potatoes from? My nearest nurseries don't seem to do then, at least not maincrop. I'm after desiree, but everywhere online charges the same again for delivery which is money I'd rather spend on other seeds! Have I just left it too late?

May is quite late to be looking for seed potatoes. I think you might have to buy what you can find. Most garden stock then from January to Easter.
