Just chuck some seed in! You'll be surprised at what you get back. It's much colder and windier this year than last where I am so most of my stuff is still in pots or in packets...

you've time yet to sow beans, cucumbers and squashes and sweetcorn! I'm sowing sweetcorn tomorrow and it won't be planted out until June.
I haven't put my maincrop spuds in yet either....clay has been too wet here...they're going in this weekend.

If you can get hold of any well rotted manure you could pile it on one half, cover with black plastic (available on the roll from places like screwfix) and plant pumpkins e.t.c through it. By the end of the season you'll have a great crop, the weeds will be dead, the worms will have pulled the manure down and your autumn digging will be easy!

Have you got hold of any plants from your neighbours? At the moment my site is full of people sidling about with trays of tomatoes, peppers, squashes, strawberries and salads, all asking for a swap or just to be shot of them...
