  • Another Courgette Question

Hi, sorry I am going to ask the must silly question but be gentle as I am new at this game of gardening! I responded to a thread last night re planting out my courgette which I did on Monday and I have been fleecing them at night.
Well this morning one of the courgette plants flowered, hurray. I know it is male and the other flowers coming up look like male. The question is what do I do now? Do I just leave it and continue to water and fleece until it gets warmer at night? The other courgette plant that I planted in the ground is sulking but I hope will improve. The one in the container seems to be happy too. Here is a photo.

Yes, just leave it - the female flowers will be along soon. If night time temps look like they will go under 10 wrap it up, though fingers crossed this weekend we will see a change in the weather

      Pic not showing.

Try to keep water away from stem to stop rot.

Use bricks to raise courgettes off soil.

I get an error message if I do that

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Thank you for the replies. Will take on board the watering however this can be difficult at times due to other plants near when watering generally. Also will look into the brick idea.
