    Hi all,

I have recently moved and I am now lucky enough to have a nice garden to play around in. I got a Wisteria at the weekend and I would like it to grow up against the fence at the end of the garden, and branch out and along to create privacy and also a lovely display, can anyone recommend the best way of doing this?

The Wisteria is currently in a pot and stands about 60cm high.

    Hi Paul

When i planted my wisteria, i placed it against a wall. I drilled holes here and there, plugged the holes and used Vine eyes. They had to be prized open a little to allow the branches through. You could do the same thing on a fence, minus the drilling.

I planted mine against a wall, about a foot away, sloping inwards and staked it. Then the OH attached vine eyes in a series of rows about 18inch apart, threaded wire through them and tightened it. I tie in or wind the wisteria around the wire as it grows.
