Liquid feed

Good morning all can someone recommend what type of liquid feed I should be giving my fruit trees I have (apples cherries and a plum)

Should I invest in a expensive liquid feed (£7-10) a mate from work told me tomato feed from a pound shop is as good as anything ( not sure how true that is )

Also how often should I give them a liquid feed I planted all my trees about a month ago some are in the ground and some in pots. I think there all around 2-3 years old and about 1.5 metres in hight.

Always look at the NPK of thee fertiliser, and how much you need to dilute it, many very cheap liquid feeds have lower numbers,for example a bottle marked 10-10-10 , add equal amount of water and it would be 5-5-5

The npk shows the ratio of nitrogen posphorous and potassium

Tomato feed will work, but there may be better depending on what you want the fertilliser to provide, as a general one I often use standard miracle grow or asdas own general feed, dissolve a measure or so in a bucket of water and pour it on

Myself on fruit trees I use the very much cheaper powdered ones with individual components, from someone like chempak , they are much cheaper , you can make them liquid by dissolving them, but i usually just chuck them around fruit trees, sulfate of potash and sulfate of ammonia usualay

Unless you have a known problem though, something like blood fish and bone is better as it is more balanced

Being new trees I would sprinkle with blood fish and bone, then water them a bit not bother with liquid feeds, most of a liquid feed tends to wash out the bottom of a pot, solid ones stay in the pot longer

Thank you I will have a look while I'm out today, I was just thinking I should be feeding my trees but with so much stuff on the market I'm getting a little bit confused.
