Can anyone tell me how to set up and use one of these
Ha! The Parasene large cold frame/green house heater.
First that heater does not have a funnel it works by heating the gauze above the flame.
They are a bit of a job to get right but I had one for some years and it worked well to keep the frost of in my then small home made green house.
Fill with decent paraffin and light the wick you should set so the flame just clears the height of the burner metal work. Leave for 30 minutes whilst things warm and then reset the flame back to its original setting. You might have to do this a couple of times until you get used to it, you will be surprised how small the flame needs to be. It should run for 10 to 14 days on one fill, so if your using more paraffin than that you have the flame to high.
Cautionary notes.
Do not operate in a air tight place this will starve the thing of oxygen and it will either go out or produce carbon monoxide.
If at any time you see sooting either the flame is to high or it is starved of oxygen, VENT the enclosed space before entering and adjusting things.
When I got my 8x6 green house I found I had to have my seedlings on staging with the heater below to get good protection.

I've got one of these. Lasts overnight with a single filling. Enough to keep frost of a small area. Causes a lot of condensation though.

I purchased a paraffin heater earlier this year and just started to use it now. Ive filled it and let the wick soak and ive lit it but not sure how far out the wick should be or how big the flame should be, any ideas?
Thanks guys
