Morning on the allotment

Hi all,

We spent about 3 hours on the allotment this morning digging it all over and removing most of the big stones. We've also managed to mark up some areas. We now have 6 3ft x 9 ft beds with walking space between.
So feel like we accomplished quite a lot for our first day.

After the morning on our new allotment I thought I would try to add some pictures.

Hubby is now trying out lots of different seating plans for all the different things he wants.

Thank you. Couldn't figure out how to add all the pictures via my phone. So ended up with 2 posts via phone and PC.
We had a busy but enjoyable day. Hubby is now trying to figure out what he wants in there.

I like the layout, equal size beds makes it easy to rotate crops from year to year.

I suggest you shovel the lovely soil off the paths and pile it on the beds to make them a bit deeper. Then if you can, get hold of some free wood chippings to stop the paths getting muddy.

It's looking good already It's a nice time of year to get a plot I think as you don't have to wait for months to get stuck in!

Do you have zillions of ideas for layouts, beds and what crops to grow churning around in your head when you go to bed? I did for the first few weeks after I got my plot.....and still do now that we're comiung up to the new sowing season
