strawberries...am i too late?

just wanted some quick advice, i've been given a few packs of strawberry seeds, they say on the packet to sow feb - april...Am i too late or can i get away with planting them today?

Go for it...they'll not flower/ fruit this year anyway.

If you want fruit this year get hold of some runners while you still can

I had sown some free strawberry seeds last week and they have just germinated so You still have time as this year has been cold so late I don't think 4 weeks will make any difference as everything will catch up once we get constant warmth, and I mean constant warmth.

They say with strawberries, its best not to let them flower and fruit too early so that they put all their energy into establishing roots.
I would sow the seeds now for a bumper crop next year!
