Hello,
As a typical enthusiastic (read...impatient!) novice veg grower, I have a lot of different veg plants on my windowsill that look ready to move out. My broccoli, butternut squash and sweetcorn are all about 5 inches tall and roots are spreading out through the pots onto my plastic trays below. The broccoli in particular is looking a bit worse for wear and droopy and I think need more nutrients. I don't want to repot again before planting out.
I'd be keen to get them planted out to my raised bed today but am cautious of planting out too early as many an experienced grower warns.
I've hardened off the broccoli but not the squash and sweetcorn yet. How much hardening off would the latter veg need?
The weather up her (North West Derbyshire) is mixed. Frost has gone but its still a bit chilly, windy and rainy when its not sunny. Can I go for it or should I wait?
Thanks
Becky.
