    Hey folks

Just thought i would give you an update on the patch you all helped me with. Its looking good so far - got radish, lettuce, chard, beans and marigolds in the first bed, second one has an old swing frame in that i am gonna use for making the squash climb, plus onions, carrots and rocket are in and coming up at the front. Nothing yet in the third bed but thats going to be a seed bed for brocolli and sprouts which will go to the allotment eventually. Fourth (bigger) bed has pak choi, beetroot, peas and broad beans and have got a 3' x 4' block in there where the sweetcorn will go once its big enough

That'll look great when it full of crops...............one thing I would change. I would push the frame into the soil, remove the stays, maybe put smaller ones higher up or bigger ones at ground level, tie canes to the legs parallel to the top, tie strings to one cane, throw it over the top then tie to the cane on the other side.............if you get my drift............ you can then walk under it to harvest your squashes/Beans whatever you want to grow.

Thanks! I am really chuffed with how its coming on I getcha BM but its weeny - like a baby swing frame. I was going to put string netting on it to tie stuff into, but might get some more canes and rest them on the back to raise the overall height of it - thought the frame would make a solid basis to add to kinda thing.

Netting will be great,I just thought walking inside it may help when harvesting as some no doubt will fall through the netting.

Its for 4 butternut squash plants - i think i am gonna have to make hammocks for the squashes! I did wonder if i could take the stays off and make it a sharper angle as the plan is only to allow 2 squares per squash but the frame currently sits over all 16. I dont mind really but it would look neater if it was just over the area the squash willgrow in.

It looks fantastic. I would like to ask what lettuce seeds are you growing? I haven't been lucky with my seed choices this year, I need some that look like yours!
