    Hi
you can sow more carrots for winter eating, beetroot, swedes, kale, chard, wintercress, winter radish and mooli radish (not sure if this is the same, so might have loads) bunching onions, overwintering onions and lettuce, cabbage, turnips, garlic - I've run out of ideas, I'm sure someone else will be on with the suggestions!
    best wishes

      Hey Starbright
Everything Sue says and more - given the weather so far this year, I would be tempted to go for some salad stuff - has to brighten up soon, so bunching onions, scallions, spring onions call them what you will, or lettuce, radish, pak choi, chinese cabbage.
Calabrese (Broccoli) F1 Marathon can still be grown in modules and planted out too
If your space is big enough, how about some potatoes so you can dig 'em up on Christmas Eve and have new tatties on Christmas Day - so long as you can give them some protection in the form of a fleece or cloche cover when the frosts hit they should be okay.
If you wanna be a bit more adventurous try sowing some Florence Fennel in modules and planting out after three weeks.
So no reason for bare ground, especially given that everything is later this year due to the p*ss poor weather
      Good Luck.
