Ive still got a load to plant. Do I break the 'head' up into individual cloves & plant each one separately as a standalone bulb? Never grown it before as the OH hates it.Comment

Break the head up when you are going to plant it. Plant out the larger cloves first so that if you run out of space then its the small ones that are unplanted. Larger cloves usually make larger heads.
Also use a mirror to check if OH has a reflection or sprinkle with a bit of Holy Water to see the reaction.

Monty Don gave me the idea to plant some this weekend in Gardeners World I've gone for Solent Wight. Its my first time ever growing it so fingers crossed
