Transplanting Pepper Seedlings
Collapse

I transplant my seedlings into 7cm pots when the first true leaves show. I'll then wait a couple of months before potting them up into 9cm pots and then finally into their final place in a cold greenhouse in early June.
Depending on the weather, I'll take them into the greenhouse during the day so long as the temperature in the greenhouse is above 10C.
I don't think one should be in too much of a hurry to get them into their final pots.

You can wait for the true leaves to show depending on what they are growing in you could wait longer, I myself wait until you can just see the roots at the bottom of the pot and then transplant them which reduces the chance of root disturbance when they are young.
Here is a link that has good advice about growing chilli peppers from seed, they sent me some free Padron seeds with my order which I myself will be growing.
