Autumn Raspberry canes

Really pleased my 1/2 lottie starting to look how i want it now but last September i planted 6 autumn raspberry canes bare roots so far they have done no nothing no sign of life is this ok as autumn variety or should i be seeing green by now ?

Belive they are polka if i remember right and i live in Buckinghamshire

Mine havent come through yet either duck - but I have zero luck with the supposedly invincible raspberries

In the North East of England my Joan J's are a couple of foot tall now after their winter haircut with new canes popping up nearby (they were cell grown plants put out last summer)

ive found with raspberry canes first year, they dont do very much then second year do alot better , seems obvious.

this year some autumn canes are doing o,k but had a bit of a check with the cold weather 10 days ago , as did everything .

I also took on a half plot on an allotment in Buckinghamshire (Cameron Rd in Chesham) and planted 12 bare root Autumn fruiting raspberry canes in early April 2017. They are the Joan J variety.

Research showed that they would best be planted around February-March, with early April pushing it a bit, but I'm pleased to report that all 12 are up by 3-4" and growing nicely.

As you planted yours in September did you cut the canes down to the ground in February? I cut mine down to 2-3" stumps as soon as I planted them. Also did you get them from a reputable grower, or did you take a chance on Wilko, Poundland, Tesco £1 jobs? I took the advice of these guys and went to a reputable online grower (can't remember the name).
