  • Bolting Mooli Radish

My mooli is bolting - Is it done for? I pulled a couple and there are no real edible roots to speak of, although some good strong tap roots!

    Thanks

I've never managed to grow them they always bolt. I would forget the ones that have bolted and try and sow them again a bit later when it cools down. Treat them as you do Pak Choi.

There are different types of mooli and i think I have tried them all. Neptune is the one I grow with good success each year, the others bolt! . You probably don't want to hear this but I checked mine this evening at the allotment and was surprised to see they are ready for lifting! It doesn't seem five minutes ago that I sowed the seed.
