Hiya The Monk, and welcome to the 'vine

I've had my lottie since the end of last year now and am STILL thinking the same way as you, though I did manage to get some tatties, runners and garlic in that I'm hoping to harvest today... But I just ended up planting in available space, when I had stuff ready... I really didn't want to miss growing "something" on the plot this year.

One thing I would add is, don't forget to plan for a permenant bed or two (if you want to grow stuff that goesw in them that is) - i.e. a herb bed and a permenant fruit bed (e.g. blueberries and raspberries say). When I first drew plans for my lottie (which I didn't follow anyway ) I forgot the fruit bed (I have herbs at home so am not worrying about them on the lottie). Now I've got a space set aside to transplant some Autumn Bliss rasps from my back garden over to the lottie in winter...

Oh, and I'm going to have some dedicated flower beds too... one larger one for wildlife, and another of some cutting flowers for home

Will you post a piccie of the lottie when you get a chance?
