Will the weather ever change....?

Will we ever see some summer wether - a nice spring day would do!!!
I have so much that is bursting out of pots but its always too wet to plant!
Can anyone offer me even the tiniest ray of hope for this weekend???

Even the chickens are refusing to come out and who can blame them!!!

I looked at the weather forecast again - but I only believe it when it says rain anyway!

I get real SAD with these overcast days, the lack of light is very depressing.

Oh but the forecast did seem to suggest Satdee would be sunny intervals (SW).....

Well it is a medical condition called SAD, lack of sunlight, common this time of year but we have had a long winter, a terrible March and wet April. However, the weather will supposedly change for a majority of us at the weekend and more sun and mild weather is on the way. Now you know why the Danes have a high suicide rate, it's dark there for several months...I hate this time of year too.

I feel guilty as we have a very mild day here, my car temp. was showing 18 degrees, the doors are open but it is cloudy, I hear that tomorrow will be ok.

We've had really mixed weather this week with most days being half sunshine & half rain so I've just had to run out into the garden when it's dry.It does seem to be warming up though. I think the forecast for around here is sun/showers again for the weekend but it looks like it might be nicer in the south.

its nice here today, warm and bright-ish. not what you'd call sunshine exactly, but bright. of course, we nambypamby southerners are all fretting about the drought....!

As a teacher I have to go back to work on Monday so I guess the weather will clear up starting then and go back to the usual routine of lovely weekdays and wet and cold weekends.
It's getting me down as well, last year we had our first BBQ on the 18 March, its still under its plastic cover at the moment

An absolutely beautiful day here. Was in the garden from 10.30 this morning until 6.00 this evening. Weatherwise i could still be there but ran out of energy. The sky is still completely blue, not a cloud to be seen and feeling really summery. Don't know how long it will last but it was a great day. Got so much done. Planted out my second lot of peas, white turnips and brocolli and dug another bit of the un-tamed garden. Now going for a chinese and a bottle of wine, I earned it today.

Ours won't go back until Monday and broke up on 7thApril, so long Easter hols here then.

we also finished on the 7 April. Everyone has the same time but they stagger the hols a bit. I teach in Warwickshire and we're normally late at Easter but a bit earlier than Staffordshire in summer.

Had a glorious day here today - very sunny and, whisper it, but it was hot as well - no wind to speak of - working in wellies and bib and brace only again today
