  • Tomato Plugs?

I'm only in my 2nd year of doing this but I think these are rather small for 8-week-old bush (100s & 1000s and 1 Red Alert) tomato plants - it would be another 5 or 6 weeks before they go in the hanging baskets.

Can I just ask if perhaps it might be better to buy plug plants? (There's a rumour we might have a summer this year.)

Last year I took hundreds of photographs of what I'd sown for referencing this year. Can I find pictures of last year's plants to compare to this year's? Can I (fill in blank). *Sigh.*

Thank you in advance. Hope all your projects are thriving.

Well, the first row closest aren't tomatoes....they look like chilli/pepper plants. The back row looks similar, maybe the back on the left could be a tomato plant but I can't quite tell from the photo.

I agree with Scarlet - only the top left is a tomato.

May be a friend or neighbor would be able to give you a few spare plants ? I usually have about 4 times as many as I need at this time of year. Plug veg plants always seem rather expensive for what they are to me .

Have to agree with the above.

For hanging baskets go to Premier Seeds Direct buy some Tumbler (not Tumbling Tom), they will germinate in about 6/7 days and grow like a goodun.

Thank you - they were supposed to be 100s and 1000s tomato seeds which I bought off eBay, but the seeds weren't as advertised - cheers for advice.
