Great news!! Enjoy the extra supply of eggies. Madmax has buzzed off to work abroad again so no chooks for me this year.

Sorry! Overly serious ten year old!

I had to describe a coot - that was quite funny!

I have a leghorn hybrid (white eggs) and a cream legbar hybrid (blueish eggs) waiting for me to collect them, given that the current hens have such wonderful names as Kiev and Kentucky (dec.) - do you want to know the list of suggestions?

Masala, Kentucky II, Tikka, Balti..... you get the drift!

                    I like Garlic!

I think it is all going to be decided on feather colour so a cream legbar would be a rich redish cream I think ..... hum......

Butter? I was watching Heston Blumenthal t'other night, and he was talking about how the real Indian Tikka seemed to be more like Butter chicken we have here.

                        How about "Funky" and "Butter"?

Well we went to collect the new hens and................

                            nothing!

'He' had not told 'Her' we were comming so our turning up was a great surprise! And the birds we were expecting to collect weren't there!

                            I'm feeling somewhat grumpy!
