Hello again, thank you for all the inputs and advice, I have been ofline for a few weeks because apparently we live to far out in the countryside to get internet connection!

Yes my boyfriend is into diy, and I think trying to intrigue him by letting him build the chicken house will be the best way to go lol. He has so many other good qualities

As your OH is Scottish, you could try telling him about the rare Scottish breeds of chickens too - there is a Scots Grey (lowland origins) and a Scots Dumpy (Highland origins) - both are classed as rare breeds and both are bred to be very hardy birds. That might appeal to him? I can't think of any breeds that are particular to Denmark at the moment, but I'm sure they're out there!
