Yay we got our chooks this afternoon/evening.
They arrived at around 5.30pm and have settled in nicely.
We got 3 bantams; 1 is a black pekin (big suze), 1 is a new hampshire red (gwen the hen) and 1 is a maran (willow).
I have taken some photos will try to post them - i now realise how difficult it is to take a good photo of a chicken!
Like i say they have settled in really quickly and soon came downstairs to check out the run and have some food and water. When i took the end off the coop to get a photo Willow did a runner - cue scary moment chasing around the garden (probably not a great idea for their first day); some expert herding by Dawn soon got her in though.
Come dusk only 1 took themselves to bed (big suze), we had to put the other two inside.
The lady who delivered said not to expect any eggs for a few days because they've had a stressful journey - but we'll check anyway!
