        Korma, Tikka Massala, Fricasee......

Do visit the dealer before you buy, and don't be afraid to walk out empty handed if you don't like what you see....

A certain well known dealer, mentioned in a post above is excellent in terms of web site and sounds really good over the phone - but the place is a mess.

        Enjoy your birds

          Hi Mandy,
To post a poll, do what you usually do to start a new thread, and when you start writing it, scroll down to below te post and there's a series of options - the last one is to add a poll to the thread, with a choice of how many options you want to put on. I think you just tick that box and then follow the instructions, you have to put up names for Grapes to vote on.

            Thanks for the warning TPeers!

I seem now to have two good options: 1 a breeder 10 miles from here, he took on breeding birds after his mum and he is now 85 so has experience

Also a turns out a a friend of my OH'S father also has been breeding for many years and has 300+ birds, still need to speak to him though.

            BirdieWife,

Might give the poll ago, my friens have come up with the following:

Tess, Molly, Heidi, daisey, Rosie, Cherry, Agnes?

Will think of some more and create a short list, this is exciting!

Yeah! Homely sort of mother names always do well with hens I think, like Martha, Bertha, Betty. Mind you, I had Headless and Turkey in my small flock so who am I to advise

Met a hen called Fox Bait over the summer - lovely friendly thing - had all the brains of a butterfly!
