catching critters

Hi all
I am looking for some advice on how to catch some slugs,worms or other such things for the girls, as they live in a run and don't get out much. any ideas please

Lay some matting, carpet, cardboard etc. on some bare wet earth. Next day, remove it and you should have a good harvest underneath for your hungry chooks.

Oh chookie, I can't believe you have problems catching slugs - I can post you some of mine if you like!! Are the girls on the allotment, or is the run in your garden? If you have the space (and aren't too tidy minded) leave a few planks of wood on the ground. Every time you turn them over you will find a lovely harvest of slugs and snails.

Keep a compost dalek on earth. Add kitchen waste. You'll soon have zillions of worms and slugs all circling the lid every time you open it.

My turkeys love worms. (and slugss. And wasps. And flies. And sprouts. And anything else ..)
