Hi Bigal and welcome to the vine.

Is there any way you could cover part of the run to provide a drier area? Don't forget to hang up a cabbage (or cauli or sprout) stalk if/when you have them available - the chooks will love that.

Ive already covered part of the run but not realy working ,I do put greens out i tie them just out of reach so they have to work for them they seam to love that, I keep my chickens on the allotment were i only have about 18 inch of topsoil ontop of a bed of sand i dug 6 inch and it filled with water so finding it hard to keep the run dry

Would putting a few pallets in help? It would raise some of the 'floor' level beyond the mud. You might have to move them about a bit but at least the hens would have drier feet. They are funny with greens tied up aren't they
