we're almost ready 4 our chooks.have converted a shed 4 coop & dug in fencing for run which is now just opver 5&1\2 ft tall.still concerned about foxy!have done some reading up & wondered if any1 on here has tried the wee round the run &hanging stockings of human hair around the run?does it work?how often would we need 2 be changing the hair bags?(or is that like asking how longs a piece of string?)also if the run is secure is it still advisable to lock them in coop at night?haven't got wire over the run?

Yes, I would still shut them in the coop at night, even with a secure run, they may get cold!
Never heard of the hair and wee trick, so can't help you there,but know of some people who have a radio tuned to a 'talkie' station (like radio 4) apparently that is enough to spook the foxes, although town foxes may be more immune to people talking than rural foxes, a couple of friends use this method and have never had fox problems.
