Bran really layers mash

In my last thread posted a little while ago I said I had Bran and it was really layers mash I think with all this wind outside and being in the garden all morning I had a senior moment.
So if you all could advise me what to do with this sack of layers mash then I would appreciate it.

We used to make the hens a hot mash in the winter - bread and food scraps, boiled veg peelings etc and a bit of hot water if needed, measure in the mash, mix it up and off you go. Not sure about feeding it dry or alone though sorry.

We mix pellets and mash in 1 feeding trough as 2 of our birds were quite fussy. It got them used to eting the pellets and the others seemed to like it and did them no harm, the only down side is they manage to spread it further!!

I don't know a chicken that actually likes pellets! Ours pick out the corn from the pellets and leave them - I refuse to fill the bowl until they have eaten the rest!

you can either feed the mash on an add lib basis dry or you can wet it down. If you wet it down then you need to serve up just enought for them to clear in about 20 minutes, do not leave the bowl out in the sun as the mash can sour and then you will end up with tummy problems.
