    i would love to see the inspectors try to get any kitchen scraps (if, of course, if my chooks did manage to find some that is! wink wink!) my girlies would not part with them easily!!! it would be beaks at dawn! x

      Note that the ban on 'scraps' also applies to anything that has been in the kitchen where you prepare food for humans. (however I can't see it ever being enforced for backyard poultry).
      Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

            I still don't understand why our government cannot refuse to allow animal-produced food into the country if it cannot be shown to have been produced in a manner compatible with our welfare laws! The hygene rules get this form of protection (in theory at least) so it can't be a matter of complexity of enforcement!
