  • Orpingtons - does anyone know where I can get some from?

    Hi

I already keep Cuckoo Marans, White Stars and Cream Legbars but I fancy adding Orps to my flock for possible showing. Has anyone got some to sell or know of a good breeder?
    Many thanks,
    Andrea.

They're lovely, aren't they? Omlet UK | Breed Information | Chickens | Orpington

I've been a-googling, but not come up with much. Keepers Lodge Poultry, Lichfield 01543 673399.
Or there's a poultry breeder an hour's drive from you: Dupmill Game Farm Services, 01952 882534.
Even if they haven't got any Orps, they might know who does.

I don't know quite where abouts you are, but I'm pretty sure this guy has them. He's just S.E. of Bury St Edmunds

If that's not too far from you I can dig out his Name & Phone no.

That's funny, I was about to leave a very similar thread.

I'd be looking for a trio of Buff Orpington hens, I don't want to start fiddling about with eggs or chicks.

I tried looking in Practical Poultry magazine, but I'd much prefer a recommendation, so if you have any thought for Kent too, I'd much appreciate it!

The breeder down here in Dorset has some but it's a bit far for you I expect. The number is 01308 459985 (Dave or Pat), just in case. Happy hunting.
