I've kept bantams, and I've kept big types (not Orpingtons, but similar size). The big ones are MUCH gentler natured! The most aggressive cockerel I ever had was a bantie, and the hens are much firecer in protecting their chicks (big girls rely on looking intimidating, banties will have your ankles off). Have to concede that the most aggressive Mum in my poultry patch was the turkey. She would have your eyes if she thought you were too close to her babies!
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

We got them from a guy that my boyfirend is working for at the moment (he's a landscape gardner but I believe him and his dad rear some ) If you want his number let me know I can put you in touch based near Banbury Oxfordshire.
I'm not eactly sure what type they are I'm afraid.

I did see advertised the cotswold chickens place actually -thought I may pop over there at some point soon. My boyfriend doesn't think we'll have enough space though ........

I have noticed this wekend a small bit of destruction to my vege plot at the top of the garden so think I'll be fencing that off some how this weekend.
      Best love
