Hen advice for a friend please

One of her hens, sort of stretches her neck out, sort of yawns and the eye lids covers its eyes.
It did this about six in a row.

Any suggestions please?

They are just starting to lay.

might just be the weather it is too hot and making them extra 'sleepy'. mine are really stuggling..

Sounds like it could be gape worm - is the hen coughing or gasping as well? Any other symtoms? it's fairly easily treated with Flubenvet (prescription wormer).

she could just be trying to dislodge somthing in her throat, i would worm her though to be on the safe side
