I can't believe you've still got grass left in the run!

Well here goes don't know if it'll let me upload all the pics, if not I'll have to do 2 posts.

I've got a "posh" coop, and a converted rabbit hutch. All the chooks sleep in the posh one, and they use the hutch and the coop for nesting / egg laying

By the way, I've got 9 chickens in a fenced off third of the garden. Yes, there is still a bit of grass left, even after 6 months, but i wouldn't call it a lawn

Those photos were taken before the chickens moved in....there's still some grass but nothing like that! At some point I will divide the run in two so the grass can recover a bit.

The inside is white cos it's painted with gloss paint as I read somewhere it can help deter mites - less cracks for them to live in - some have said it doesn't work, but I figured it was worth a try as we had leftover gloss paint, incidently if you paint it in gloss you have to do it a while before chooks move in as the fumes linger.
