  • Hows about that then!

Well it helps to pay for their feed.

Knocked the box up from an old pallet (should have put it on the pallet thread!)

Painted it matt black did a bit of sign writing in white acrylic and stuck it along with my honesty box at the allotment gate!

Sold some eggs but the thieving magpies had a go at one so I had to put a hinged perspex cover on the front. Jobs still to do are scrounge a small bit of roofing felt for the top!

Put a bit of straw in to simulate a chooks nesting box and leave half a doz one evening and a dozen the following evening (have 10 chooks all laying)

On my return the following day the eggs have gone and the money is in the money box.

          That's super.
Have you nailed the honesty box to the table?

I used to sell flowers from a bucket for 30p a bunch. It worked well for a long time, then all of a sudden they were all being stolen every day, so I had to give up.

Thanks vicky! A few times people have left a quid instead of the 80p!

Managed to scrounge a tiny bit of spare roofing felt off my neighbour today. Now all I need to do is scrounge some nails to fasten it on........only joking, I'll hopefully make it waterproof tomorrow!
