      It may also be that the hens are a little smaller than you think. These are the hybrids which Omlet supply, and they're medium sized. There's plenty of room in the Omlet for the girls, but if they were restricted to the run which comes with it, I would be looking to buy the extension at the very least. I'm sure they're happy enough, but it seems rather a small area to me for such inquisitive and active birds.

        I'm with you on that Mark - I've invested in the run extension to give them 1m each. They will get a chance to roam at the weekend but won't do so well during the week as we're out for pretty much all of the daylight hours (at least until next spring brightens us up).
