  • Finally we've got eggs!!

    Hi all
Don't know if anyone remembers, but I got 2 Orpingtons, a Plymouth Rock & a Buff Sussex at the end of June of between 10 and 13 weeks, according to what the seller said. Well, after a VERY long wait we've finally had our first eggs this week from the Plymouth Rock! Not just that, but we've had 4 eggs in 5 days from her. After all the time I spent worrying I'm over the moon . Not only that but the eggs have all been perfectly built & have weighed 41g, 42g, 45g and today a whopping 56g!
So to all those of you still waiting for eggs, it's definitely worth the wait, though I haven't actually tried one yet!

It certainly sounds like it's been worth the wait!! Those are whopping eggs - I'm sure you'll enjoy every mouthful. Lucky devil!!
I love to talk about nothing. It's the only thing I know anything about!!

Well done - it gives me hope! We got our Maran bantams mid July, at 14 weeks old, and still nothing....
