We were hoping our 2 newer hens would lay a slightly different coloured egg so as we knew when they were laying~All week we've had 9brown eggs + one white~although we still weren't totally sure it was from one of the newer girls I had a feeling it must be!(she's had a very large bright red comb for a while,the other one still trying to catch up to big sis!!).
Anyway,today was our 1st day of getting 11 eggs!!So is confirmed that Marigold(DD's choice of names)is now up there with the rest of them!!So proud & excited!!I'm sure Dandelion won't be far behind!
I think also it's the 1st day our once poorly girl has layed since she was unwell a week or so ago,so doubly pleased!!
Think I may be needing to dig out a lemon meringue pie recipe!!~with of course homemade lemon curd!!(at least I think it needs lots of yolks?)
