  • They all hatched YEEEEEAAAY!!!!!

The eggs I bought off a well know auction web site have all hatched. One chick sadly died, had sort of a floppy neck, but the rest are doing well touch wood. 24 hours old, Buff Wyandotte, not sure if that's spelled correctly. 21 days to the hour, amazing, & 6 out of 6 really amazing. I'm going to try & post some pics of Mum [Warren? but she lays white eggs[ & chicks.

Brilliant minsky! Really pleased for you. That's an exceptional hatch rate and just goes to prove that buying hatching eggs CAN be worthwhile!

My favourites at the mo are the Silver Laced Wyndottes and I am determined to have some by hook or by crook, in fact I'm hoping another chook will go broody to hatch me some!

Come on Lynda, if I can use a screwdriver then anyone can!!! Anyway I'm better at using a drill, hammer, saw etc than I am at dusting and hoovering (can find where to plug the duster in anyway, no instructions!)
All you need is a big hammer and some brute force - preferably when there's a man around to take pity on you an do it for you. Once you've got lots of bits of wood, just nail them together again, then phone the chicken people
Those ickle baby fluffy chicks are really gorgeous though aren't they I WANT SOME!

i'm going to get nails today, i reckon if i nail it together, then stick some screws in vital points it will manage to stay together ..... well that's the theory anyway........ so watch out today, mad woman with circular saw in action

i never worked out where to plug the duster in either, but gimmee a drill and i get posessed .... it's going to be a fun day
