I'm very, very impressed!!!! Used to be a dab hand with a hammer myself in my younger day. Too arthriticky now though. It's beautiful. You must feel total satisfaction when you look at it. And aren't you lucky to have such an obliging son with a handy friend!!! Well done you. Sandra
Lynda, that is very posh, your chooks will not want to come out of it
that's the plan, cos it's gonna be a few weeks till the run gets sorted, as i can't move the sheets of netting lol .... they'll be much happier in there though, they'll have plenty more room to run round than they have now
Looks fab! If you miss the smell, you could always move in with them!
Just goes to show what one can accomplish if you put your mind to it
think i'll leave em in the house and move in myself lol ....... or more to the point, just goes to show what you can actually make for nothing more than the cost of a few nails ....... when you're skint and need a chicken house

yeah wish obliging son and his mate could have had it finished in september lol ....... has been a bit of a nightmare getting them here when i need em and when the weathers been ok to do it.
thanks all ..... i'm actually quite proud of it, thought it would end up looking crap, but i think once it's got paint on it, it won't look too bad at all ........ as long as you see it from a distance
i'll be soooooooo glad when it's finished though it's been a long haul.

The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory....
Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.
and no lumps on my head and no bruises and no holes in my feet from standing on nails and no house smelling of chickens..... who cares about the satisfaction, they could have been in it a month ago

Your Ty bach looks great, Lynda (sorry, Welsh joke)... now make some money by selling your design to B&Q "Lynda's Chookloo".
Ty bach ........ thanks for that terrier ....... i suppose if i ever get fed up of keeping chooks it will be quite useful having an outside one
hmmmmm i'm sure i would need some kind of plan/drawing of that ..... unfortunately, i just nail a bit on if theres a hole and if theres still a hole silicone sealer is brill and ermmm for some reason one side isn't quite straight, and erm ........ yeah, think i'll just keep the plan in my head lol ..... it doesn't quite look like the original drawing i did of what it would look like, before i started building it
