hi all

well progress i think this afternoon miranda my maran cuivre went into her house and made deep sqauking noises for ages, she kept coming out then going in same process.

when i looked into the nesting box she had made a perfect circle?? could my first egg be on it's way and has this happened to anyone else. what do you all think?? the anticipation of the egg is making me eggcited

Mine did exactly that a couple of days before they laid the first one.

I've had this where a chook starts sitting on a nest a couple of days before she actually lays.

Yes, mine did that and then laid her first one the next day - get the egg cup ready!
