Since I lost 2 of my ex-batts, I think I'm getting paranoid about any "different" behaviour the others display. Yesterday and today Ivy has been not looking quite herself. She was eating - a bit, not much enthusiasm, drinking, the same. Most of today she's just been stood hunched up by the fence. Anyway I brought her indoors this afternoon and put her in the emergency nesting box. I gave her a little dish of porridge with Apple Cider Vinegar in it and some mixed corn. She did eventually eat half of it and did eventually decide to come out of the box and have a bit of an explore, almost back to her normal self. She's been making funny "twitching" movements with her head though, side to side, not up and down. I've put her back in the coop at bedtime, but has anyone any ideas about this twitching?

How is Ivy? Hope she is OK now. I was talking to someone who has a lot of hens about ex-batts and she said there would always be more health problems with them as they don't build up resistance to illness due to being in cages. Still worth having them though isn't it?
Belated happy Birthday by the way.
