Turkeys will perch, and it may be best if they can, because if they sleep 'on the floor' there is a small risk of them being injured by rats, which will eat anything they can get their teeth into. I lost a turkey stag because he couldn't perch (injured leg) and the rats damaged him enough that he had to be put down. A sleeping turkey can sometimes be stupid enough to just stay put while the rats munch.
Compared to the typical turkey, a chicken is Brain of Britain! Treat them accordingly and all should be well.
With a small group, the 'corner problem' should not arise. Groups of a dozen or so are sufficient that the first one into the corner in a panic (such as a thnder storm) may be suffocated by the others landing on top.
The first rule of turkey keeping is that it is impossible to underestimate their intellect, because they don't have one!
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

Ha ha ha!! Turkeys are so stupid!! Some I used to visit (and their owners) used to display to me every time I went round! Their heads drain of blood and go all blue! Bizarre!
