lol, i keep bugging him on msn ..... surprised he hasn't blocked me yet mind you he seems to be having a good time doing university stuff, and being in the footy team, and doing athletics and homework ...... cos of course he wouldn't be down the pub every night so i can't be too cross ...... i'm sure his friend will help if i give him a shout.

Well when the chooks and ducks arrive you'll drop out of society all together, so I wouldn't worry about him blocking you. You won't notice!

My girls have been fighting most of the day! Euphemia & Hetty are picking on Gwendolyn and it's making me sad!!! I hope they stop it because in this house we make love, not war!!!
I love to talk about nothing. It's the only thing I know anything about!!

someone however has just sneaked into my house while i was out, onto my laptop and bought 3 ixworth and 3 Lavender Aracuna eggs off ebay ...... honestly, you cant trust anyone these days can you ...... (guess it's a good job the incubator has been sent out today eh) ...... lets see if we have any luck with them fingers crossed.

keep em coming though, they might not hatch yet.
I looked at those as well but I was glad I didn't bid as my broody has changed her mind and re-joined the flock!
Still have to keep booting other broody out the nest and nicking her eggs though.
        What I can't understand is that I collected 10 eggs from 10 chickens today.............very strange............but I digress..........as one does............sorry to hijack your thread Lynda.

Hope you have loads of success with your Ixworth and Lavender Aracuna's!

lol i hadn't thought of that ...... actually he'll probably come home more for his free eggs lol, and secretly he's really looking forward to them coming ..... guess i'd better find some duck eggs now or the chickens will be ermmmm lonely mind you ducks take longer to hatch so if we get any, the chicks will be a week old when they are born.

norty chickens send em to the norty step

hijack away, was wondering how she was getting on, oh well i'm sure one will get broody again soon......... the first broody is probably laying again, she will want to replace her dead eggs, so she can sit again, i would guess her desire to be a mother outweighs all reason, as it does in most animals, well there is one thing, if mine hatch, then you know for next time that the eggs from them should be ok

Being a geordie I'd have to go for black and white! Striped if possible!

no me neither, and the blue ones aren't really blue lol ...... the ducks are in lots of six, so i think 6 black and 6 white might be a little excessive .... i linda want black ones, but have always wanted white ones ....... i guess i should see if i can find someone who i can get 3 of each off

If a khaki campbell duck and a white drake (or vice versa) mate, SOME of the ducklings may be what my neighbour used to call 'penguin' coloured. Black or very dark brown with white chest.
For black ducks, Cayuga or East Indian are black-with-a-hint-of-green and lay blue-green eggs. I can never remember which are the small ones and which are full size, but the full size ones are a classic 'dual purpose' type. Respectable number of eggs, and the drakelings grow into reasonable eaters.

Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.
