      • It happened to Snadger and his broody-hatched eggs too. At this time of year, fewer eggs are fertile. I hope you manage another lot but Id give it a few months if it were me.
        Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

        • i guess the most annoying bit is that 5 were definitely fertile, so that's not the problem, ok i'll wait .... it's just frustrating i want to see inside them now to see hwat happened ..... anyway have just been to ikea and got a big box of my fave biccies and lots of choccie so i'm gonna pig out on crap to make me feel better.

                    • I know what you're going through Lynda if it's any consolation.

                      Still don't give up though as there's always hope. If it helps ditch one 'sloshy' one each day from now on!

                      Try picking the egg up and giving a gentle shake.......if it souinds 'sloshy' at this stage, it's a dud!

                      If you do decide to break it.........stand well back (or drop it in Woolworths like we did as kids) Pooooooooooooo!!!

                      Just make sure you keep your head well clear and avoid the explosion!

                              • i could see the babies last time i looked with the torch ...... there was definitely 5 big ones, even in the really dark egg
