believe me westcoast i've been feeling exactly the same way ....... unfortunately, despite many hours of searching i haven't found anyone near me advertising any babies for sale
anyway ....... nothing still ...... though i think the second one seems to have put a sudden growth spurt on, and the other one is nearly filling the egg, so i'm sure it can't be much longer

thanks hayley ...... i could move lol
we have loot snadger and a free local paper, but theres never anything in it i've been looking at loot online for months there just doesn't seem to be anyone in my area ...... i'm gonna see how things go, and if no babies, then try and get to macclesfield poultry auction, if sons friend can get time off work, but it's a big ask of him, cos he don't get paid if he doesn't work....... i can borrow next doors car, but it's been sat 100 yards down the road since june, cos it broke down.
checked ad trader ...... nothing ..... hadn't heard of that before ....... though i could get a sheep or 2 from northalleton ...... my friend lives there, wonder if she'd bring me one on the train next time she visits lol
the annoying thing is theres loads of countryside round us, but i can't get out there to scour for chickens.
anyway, we may still have babies yet ..... maybeLast edited by lynda66; 24-11-2008, 07:14 PM.

My niece keeps two sheep in with her chickens and hasn't been bothered by a fox since she got the sheep. Prior to getting the sheep she had lost a few chickens to Mr Fox. She does have a large field though. Two sheep in my back garden would be a joke.
